My name is Tris, I have had a camera in my hand since I was four years old, starting with a Ricoh that my father taught me to use and moving on with technology through the years to the Sony A7IV that I shoot with today.
I have a small collection of old film cameras, including a replacement of the Richo Singlex camera I learned a lot on, and I use these cameras still from time to time, though not for my main shooting.
I have shot almost everything, from portraits and families, nature and wildlife to weddings and bands! I just love every aspect of photography, from the shooting to the processing in Lightroom!
Apart from being taught by my father from a very young age, I was four, to my teens, I have had no training, nor hold any qualifications of any kind, I am self taught from shooting to endless nights in Lightroom and Photoshop.
I am always told that I think and see things differently to others, have been told that all of my life, and I have discovered that throughout life, which, well, has been very difficult, though I have had a lot of therapy and have come out the other side with a Borderline diagnosis among many others. I wanted and chose to use that and express it within some projects that I am yet to complete and share.
For the past few years, I have been shooting bands at The Brit bar in Weston Super Mare, combining my love of photography and need of music! I shoot what I ‘feel,’ I always have, which I use to express the uniqueness within my work. I can pick up on the slightest of feelings and expressions and like to capture and bring that to life within my photography, no matter what I am shooting.
I love to capture amazing moments, expressions, feelings, and bring to life timeless memories people can keep and cherish for a lifetime!
Yes, I am a very deep and complex person, and I do like to express that within everything I do.
